The LCO is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. We want to provide a safe and secure user experience.  We endeavor to ensure that the personal data submitted to us remains private and used only for the purposes as set forth herein.   The following sets forth the Privacy Notice (“Privacy Notice” or “Notice”) for any websites that link to this Statement.

  • Our volunteer staff are required to protect personal data in our systems.  We have internal policies and programs designed to protect personal data.

The LCO uses many sources of information to help us meet our needs and the needs of our organization.

The LCO collects personal data about our our Members and those interested in becoming Members. The LCO's records include: names and contact data may include your first and last names, personal and/or professional email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, and emergency contact information for the Members and the students related to those Members.  We may use this information for a variety of purposes, which vary by jurisdiction.  These reasons may include:

  • Where necessary to comply with our legal obligations.  For example, we may collect and process this information in order to comply with anti-discrimination laws and government reporting requirements;

  • To monitor and ensure diversity and equality of treatment and opportunity; and

  • To provide accommodations to Members as needed and/or required by the law.

  • Where the collection and processing of this data is not required by law, the provision of this data is completely voluntary, and you can decide whether to provide it or not.  

 

The LCO may collect personal information about when you visit our websites, contact us via web, email, or phone, or request information about the LCO and its offerings. When visiting our websites, the LCO may collect personal data such as name and contact details, and usage, registration, and participation data through your use of the LCO's web and online offerings.

The LCO will only use your personal data for the purposes for which it was collected, unless we reasonably consider that we need it for another purpose that is compatible with the original purpose and there is a legal basis for further processing.
